█ Collection via POP3 █
█ CMail can collect mail from the Internet using either the SMTP or █
█ POP3 protocol. Collecting using the traditional SMTP method requires █
█ a static IP address and that your server be connected to the Internet █
█ when your ISP's mail server attempts to you. With POP3, your Internet

█ Service Provider can forward all mail to a single POP3 account from █
█ which, CMail will collect mail as if it were a standard mail client █
█ and then sort mail ready for collection by users on the LAN. █

█ MX Resolution █
█ MX resolution is where CMail interrogates a DNS server to enquire █
█ which mail server on the Internet handles the mail for the domain you █
█ are attempting to send email to. Once it has received the necessary █
█ information from the DNS server, CMail will connect to the remote █
█ mail server and send the mail. This process makes CMail completely █
█ independent of an upstream SMTP mail server. █

█ Anti-Spam Features █
█ CMail Server incorporates Anti-Spam filtering which prevents █
█ unauthorised users from sending large quantities of junk email █
█ through CMail. With Spam filtering enabled, CMail will reject a spam █
█ message before processing the body of the message to save system █

█ NT Users Database Integration █
█ CMail has the ability to 'import' users directly from the Use

█ Database when installed under Window NT 4. When a user logs into the █
█ system, the username supplied will be checked against the NT database █

█ with a valid NT username and password but an account doesn't exist

█ An advanced queue administration tool allows the manipulation of █

█ Messages contained within these queues can be displayed, deleted and █

█ Mail sent to CMail can be batched together and stored in the outbound █
█ mail queue. When an Internet connection is established, CMail will █
█ send all of the queued mail in job-lot as opposed to establishing an █

█ be turned off for those with permanent connections. █

█ Integration with Windows RAS █
█ CMail will integrate seamlessly with the Windows Remote Access (RAS) █
█ subsystem meaning that once you have setup a dial-up networking █
█ connection, that connection can be imported and used by CMail Server. █

█ or Computalynx SCM.

█ Moderated Mailing Lists █
█ Mailing lists allow mail to be sent to users subscribed to a list in █
█ with one email instead of having to mail everyone separately. Mailing █

█ to the list should the moderator agree with the content. █
